Sogut Harbour

Sogut harbour, Karaca Sogut coordinates :36 – 57′N, 28 – 11′ 4E

Sogut is a wonderful bay. The forest hugs the sea, and everywhere is full of rhododendrons. The mountains there are covered with pine trees, and there is a styrax forest close to the shore. The trees in this forest are quite wild and unusual. This bay is situated in the South of Karaca island which can easily be seen in the distance. When entering between the island and the mainland, it is very east to approach the bay.

There are quays in the South and southwest of the bay, and morning is possible from bow or stern. As an alternative, it is possible to moor in the western part of the bay. The sea rapidly gets shallow towards the shore. It is possible to anchor in 15-20 m Depths around the quay are about 2-10 m. Royal caribbean blue voyage yachting

This bay is quite beautiful and calm, and it provides all round shelter. Yachts can even winter here. It is worth-while to eat at the restaurants and take a walk there. The scenery from the hills is very impressive.

…on the southwest side of this island is a harbor called sogut buku. In the mouth of this harbor there is an islet. This is a good shelter…
