Blue voyage. Turkey map and coasts. Forecast informations all around aegean – mediterranean sea
This is a natural bay in the South of Gulluk gulf, located in the Southwest of Buyuk and Kucuk tavsan islands. There are two inlets, one of whichis in the West and the other in the East. The Western inlet is bigger than Eastern one. There is also a breakwater for fishing boats to be protected but, the most suitable place for anchoring is the Northwestern corner which is protected from the Meltem. Here it is possible to anchor in 5-6 m. The bottom is weed and sand, so it may not be a good holding. The harbour provides good shelter.
Like Turkbuku and Golkoy, nearby Gundogan ( Farilya ) is one of the most beautiful places, managing to keep its natural beauty. The harmony between the sea and nature here is worth seing. There are many nice houses in Gundogan village. Olive trees and citrus trees from a beautiful setting as in the other villages around.
It is always possible to find fresh fish at the restaurants ashore. Gundogan, Turkbuku and Golkoy supply Bodrum’s fish requirements.
There is also fresh water to drink near the harbour. It is possible to go to Bodrum by taxi or minibus.
