Akbuk harbour coordinates : 37 – 02′N, 28 – 06′5E

After leaving Oren and passing Karaburun for about 10 km, you arrive in Akbuk harbour. Situated among the mountains, covered with forests, Akbuk harbour is a good shelter from the westerlies and Northwesterlies. There is a cafe and restaurant at the harbour.

Anchoring is possible in the breakwater in front of the harbour or in 7-8 m on the Western part of the breakwater which depends gradually. As the bottom is sand and grass, it is not a good holding.

Gokova harbour coordinates : 37 – 02′9N, 28 – 19′4E

Akkaya town is located beside the Gokoca River at the end of the gulf. Anchoring is possible off the settlemen area, surrounded by high cliffs, or in the small shelter on the Northeast corner. The bottom is mud, so it is a good holding. The shelter and the surrounding area is shallow. Therefore, it can only be used by boats with lower draught.

Here a hospital gas station restaurants motels and guest houses can be found. The houses reflecting the old Turkish architectural style – especially Ula houses – are well-worth seeing. Hotels and motels in this region are also in accordance with this architecture.

Next to the city center, there are campaign and picnic sites among pine forests, and they are under protection. There are bungalow houses for accommodation as well.

You can also visit the remains of ldyma ancient city on the slopes, about 600m under Sakar kayasi on Gokova motorway. Among those remains, which are thought to date back t0 400 BC, walls and rock tombs can be seen. Royal caribbean cruise yachting
