Akbuk Coast coordinates : 37 24′ N, 27 25′E

This is a large bay in the North of Gulluk coast. It provides good shelter from Norterly “meltem” winds but it is exposed to Southerlies and Easterlies. Anchoring is possible in 3-4m.  As the bottom is mud, it is good holding ground.

While approaching from the South, care is needed of Isabel Kayasi, about 1/2 mile from the mainland, and Ikikat Kayasi, just on the Northwestern side of it. Because of the holiday villages and hotels built in and around Akbuk over recent years, there are not many beauties left for Blue Voyage to see.
